Fundraising Campaign & Grand Opening Events
EA supported Lurie Children’s Hospital in all event strategy and execution since 2008 when the foundation announced its ambitious Heroes For Life campaign and set out to open a new, state-of-the-art children’s hospital in downtown Chicago.
Created a variety of moving, engaging experiences for the capital campaign including the new hospital’s groundbreaking ceremony, campaign launch, and its topping-off ceremony.
Selected to handle production, design and management for the new building’s opening events, which included public and private tours, dedications, a ribbon cutting, and a 5K run/walk.
A community open house at the new building, preceded by a formal gala featuring headliners Sarah Jessica Parker and Harry Connick Jr., opened Lurie’s doors to the public and welcomed its new neighbors into the facility for the first time.
